In Shivshankar Chowk 15 years ago, due to the small diameter and irregular slope, the water in the drainage came back and caused the health of the citizens to be threatened due to the frequent incidents of the drainage overflowing in the internal areas. The citizens of this place had to suffer a lot because of the foul-smelling sewage coming into the streets from the choked up drainage. But in the future, this question will be solved forever. The continuous efforts of former corporator Mr. Shri. Kishor (balabhau) Dhankawade have been successful and a new drainage line of 600 mm diameter is being temporarily laid in this area and asphalting has been done. So the citizens and traffic in the area will get relief, said Mr. Kishor Dhankawade.
Mr. Shri. Kishor (balabhau) dhankawade is former corporator (2017-2022) of pune municipal corporation. He is also a well know social worker in dhankawadi area of pune city. He has immense number of fan following in his area due to his work done for well being of the area. Apart from this he is also the president of the famous Ganeshotsav Jayanath Tarun Mandal in Dhankawadi. He also runs Talim Sangh, Dhol-jhanjh pathak, Trekking Club and Kabaddi Team.
